May 2009 Windy Boats receives environmental award on the"Sjøen for alle" boatshow in Oslo
Windy Boats received the "Blue Ocean" trophy for the environmentally sustainable boat design and production on the Windy 44 Chinook and the Windy 48 Triton.
The trophy was handed out by Gunnar Kvassheim, leader of the Norwegian Energy- and Environmental Committee.
Windy Boats won in the category "Boats and Boatbuilders".
The methodical work Windy has put down through the years won them the first ever "Blue Ocean" trophy. The company has shown with their two new models,
the 44 Chinook and the 48 Triton, that it is possible to ensure environmentally sustainable boat design and production, without compromising comfort and safety.
"We are happy and proud of receiving this award. It inspires and encourages us to continue our focus on environmental sustainability.
Windy is proud to be taking the lead in responsible boat design and production" says Morten Haakstad from Windy Boats.
